  • good transport links, hopefully with improved and expanded rail links, where available.
  • improved facilities for young people, that don’t require transport to larger centres
  • affordable housing
  • better policing i.e. one officer based in the town not on call from local cities
  • hospital services within reasonable reach
  • encouragement for small industry to thrive

More local food

2020vision

1) Re-use not just recycle

2) Community composting

3) Have:

More locally grown / sourced foods (preferably organic) at affordable prices. The poor cannot afford high prices which is why health can be affected.

More allotments available, however have smaller plots – community gardens in the green spaces accessible to all not on outskirts of towns / villages ( A great example in Perth, Australia, near flats – tiny plots but enables people to grow food / flowers – their choice.

Bicycle loan schemes - at low cost – in all towns so if visiting people have transport.

‘Green’ vehicle transport at stations / local buses

4) Transport - Better public transport on clean trains

Lower costs

Develop new train lines ( Great about Richmond station redeveloping, what a shame no trains)

5) Housing – sustainable, all new build / regeneration to be eco-friendly and fit for life
